New Development Alert: 345 Meatpacking Launches

345 Meatpacking launches this week in the Meatpacking district and it is officially the cool kid on the block. This highly sought-after building is located in quite possibly one of the most cutting-edge neighborhoods on the West Side of Manhattan. Known as the mecca of high fashion, good eats, and exceptionally brilliant design masterpieces, this new luxury condominium is befitting for this culturally enriched neighborhood.

The possibilities in this new luxury condominium are endlessly imaginative with impeccable building details outlined by light-gray Kolumba brick imported from Denmark and beautiful private terraces in each unit opening onto expansive views of the city. The property features 5 penthouses and a 3-story bronze cornice that allows for an all-encompassing panorama of the Hudson River and downtown Manhattan. Amenities include a bike room, fitness room, private storage, and a resident roof deck.

Details about the project are very limited. Expect prices for one bedrooms to start at approximately $1 million, while two bedrooms to go around $2 million. Sales will commence this Fall.

To set itself apart from the burgeoning new developments consuming the neighborhood, the developers DDG Partners enlisted design icon Yayoi Kusama to design a distinctive netting that would set the building apart during its construction phase. What did they get? A Kusama-style, abstract yellow polka-dotted netting. The 120ft netting was broadcasted to the public from Aug. 15, 2012 to Sept. 30, 2012 in conjunction with her painting, “Yellow Trees” (1994), displayed at the Whitney Museum of American Art. Most recently she partnered with Louis Vuitton to create eye-catching Kusama-trademark bags.

With only 37 apartments, availability of units will be limited. With some of the city’s top design, fashion, food and art intersecting with Google’s NY headquarters and Chelsea market just a block away, 345 Meatpacking will be a smart pick.

We are taking limited appointments to see this project when its doors open any day now. Contact The Modern Agent today at 646.481.5542 to set up your appointment.
